How to Install a Sign with Hidden Standoff Fixings
Our house signs come with the option of hidden standoff fixings, which contribute to a sleek and modern appearance. These fixings are securely stud welded to the back of the sign, with plastic spacers added to create a subtle floating effect. This design ensures that no fixings are visible from the front, maintaining the sign's clean and contemporary look.
Installing these hidden standoff wall fixings is simple. Just follow these steps:
1. Position the Sign: Hold your house number plaque against the wall or house façade at your desired location.
2. Mark and Drill: Mark the spots directly below each stud. Choose the appropriate drill bit size (4mm Stud = 6mm Drill Bit, 6mm Stud = 8mm Drill Bit), and drill holes approximately 40mm deep.
3. Clear Debris: Blow any debris out of the drilled holes.
4. Apply CT1 Sealant/Adhesive: Apply CT1 Sealant/Adhesive into each drilled hole.
5. Insert the Sign: Firmly insert your house number sign into the holes, ensuring the plastic standoff spacers are fitted to the studs for a secure fit.
CT1 Sealant/Adhesive is widely available at hardware stores like Screwfix, Tool Station, and Amazon, making installation both convenient and effective.
